Peppy's Rocket Cody – also known as Annie’s Jake - is a registered Quarter Horse whose original owner (Annie) was killed in a tractor accident on her farm. Her husband had to sell all her horses. Jake ended up with a horse flipper who abused him and sent him to a kill buyer auction because he had thrown him over a fence. Jake was broken physically, mentally, and spiritually.
In his three years in sanctuary at TIER, Jake has blossomed. He would like Santa to bring Mountain Sunrise Alfalfa pellets for all his senior buddies at TIER who are dentally challenged. A 50 lb. bag of these pellets is $35.00. The feed store won't accept direct donations, so Jake is hoping Santa can fill the gap.
$151 more would help the older TIER residents have some festive holiday meals! THANK YOU to Diane B., Tango S., Mojo S., Irene J., Dianne E., Barbara D., Monica K., Bobbie F., and Jill L. for helping grant Jake's holiday wish!
Special Horses, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization. It is a GuideStar Platinum Participant and has been a Great Nonprofit since 2015. Since 2009, our mission has been to provide outstanding 501(c)(3) equine rescue organizations with fundraising opportunities, marketing assistance, educational opportunities, grant assistance and community outreach. The organizations we support are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses in need, and are carefully screened and selected based on their trustworthy reputation, dedication, and excellent service to the animals in their care. Rescuing horses leaves these organizations little time to plan, organize, and execute fundraisers and outreach, and it is the mission of Special Horses to help them help equines in need.
