Foaled in 2010, Abraham won $732,772 in 68 starts. He retired to The Exceller Fund in 2022. Abraham’s guilty pleasure is PEPPERMINTS…but his sweet tooth means he also needs the dentist. A basic float is $195 (horses are generally under light sedation for the procedure). One of Abraham’s friends has Equine Odontoclastic Tooth Resorption and Hypercementosis, a progressive and painful dental condition in horses that causes the roots of incisors and canines to be resorbed, and that requires TWO visits a year. In addition, two of Abraham’s buddies need extractions and X-rays – that’s about $500 per horse. Adding all that up ($1600) is even more painful than the dental procedures!
Abraham would like Santa to help his friends with dental care. He knows $1600 is a lot to ask. But the peppermints only cost $4.97 for a 19 oz Holiday Tub at Walmart – the big, soft kind. Abraham would like to have a tub for each of his friends.$1620 would help Abraham and his buddies REALLY enjoy their meals this holiday season!

Special Horses, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization. It is a GuideStar Platinum Participant and has been a Great Nonprofit since 2015. Since 2009, our mission has been to provide outstanding 501(c)(3) equine rescue organizations with fundraising opportunities, marketing assistance, educational opportunities, grant assistance and community outreach. The organizations we support are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses in need, and are carefully screened and selected based on their trustworthy reputation, dedication, and excellent service to the animals in their care. Rescuing horses leaves these organizations little time to plan, organize, and execute fundraisers and outreach, and it is the mission of Special Horses to help them help equines in need.
