Jasper is a black and white Saddlebred who ended up in a killpen in 2021 when he was just five years old. He presented with significant atrophy in his right hip. It turned out that at some point his pelvis had been fractured, but he also had numerous lacerations on his tongue and ulcers on his lips. Clearly, he had been abused and traumatized. He is now doing well in sanctuary at TIER and his personality is shining through! He is what Gail calls, “One of our current ‘Dennis the Menace’ funny horses.”
Jasper has always been grateful for the care and sanctuary he has received, so he isn’t asking for himself, he is asking for TIER. One of the ongoing costs is ivermectin dewormer, so Jasper would like 36 tubes of Duramectin from Chewy ($8.99 each).
$324 would cover the costs of everyone’s deworming.

Special Horses, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization. It is a GuideStar Platinum Participant and has been a Great Nonprofit since 2015. Since 2009, our mission has been to provide outstanding 501(c)(3) equine rescue organizations with fundraising opportunities, marketing assistance, educational opportunities, grant assistance and community outreach. The organizations we support are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses in need, and are carefully screened and selected based on their trustworthy reputation, dedication, and excellent service to the animals in their care. Rescuing horses leaves these organizations little time to plan, organize, and execute fundraisers and outreach, and it is the mission of Special Horses to help them help equines in need.
