December 1st - 31st, 2023
Paco arrived at Sunkissed in March this year with horribly neglected feet. He is 29 and has foundered - not uncommon with miniature horses. He has since been seen by the vet and farrier, and is living his best life with Tonka, another "little."
Because he has foundered in the past, Paco is asking Santa for some Remission ($79.99 for a 10 lb tub from Valley Vet). He is on pergolide (Prascend) for his Cushing's Disease, and he will gobble them up when hidden in a Stud Muffin Slim ($19.95 for 45 oz from Smartpak). He also needs a special feed called Seminole Calm and Cool - it runs about $31 for a 50 lb bag but needs to be ordered. Funds to help pay the farrier would be appreciated, too!
$223 would help Paco continue to live his best life! THANK YOU to Kathryn O'N., Mojo S., Tango S., Irene J., Dianne E., Barbara D., Pamela R., April F. , and Delia S. for helping grant Paco's holiday wish!
Special Horses, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization. It is a GuideStar Platinum Participant and has been a Great Nonprofit since 2015. Since 2009, our mission has been to provide outstanding 501(c)(3) equine rescue organizations with fundraising opportunities, marketing assistance, educational opportunities, grant assistance and community outreach. The organizations we support are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses in need, and are carefully screened and selected based on their trustworthy reputation, dedication, and excellent service to the animals in their care. Rescuing horses leaves these organizations little time to plan, organize, and execute fundraisers and outreach, and it is the mission of Special Horses to help them help equines in need.
