THE EXCELLER FUND CHRISTMAS IN JULY

The Exceller Fund acquires Thoroughbred horses that might otherwise be at risk for neglect or slaughter and works to provide a future beyond the finish line once they have completed their racing careers. In addition to transitioning potential adoptable horses into second careers, sanctuary is provided for those horses in need of retirement. The Exceller Fund also works to facilitate the placement of Thoroughbreds with other equine organizations nationwide in order to save as many Thoroughbreds as possible.

The Exceller Fund's mission of "Providing a Future Beyond the Finish Line" goes well beyond the immediate rescue of a horse.For us, saving a life is a LIFETIME commitment.With good care, horses can live into their late twenties, or longer.The Exceller Fund continues to care for these extraordinary horses long after the initial emotional response has diminished.

The Exceller Fund is accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and has received funding from Thoroughbred Charities of America.

HOW THE FUNDRAISER WORKS

It's that time of year when the TEF Racing Warriors start to think about filling up the hay sheds for winter. Four Racing Warriors - Handsome Jolly Jim, Fax A Freddy, Crypto Gulch, and Salt on the Rim have asked Special Horses to help them get the word out to Santa. For as little as $5, you can help stock the hay barns at The Exceller Fund foster farms. Each semi of hay costs $7,500 - that includes transport and shipping costs. The hay is brought in from Nebraska to Oklahoma - TEF purchases only premium forage (almost all leaf, no stems or "chewy" stuff in there) so that every Racing Warrior gets the nutrition they need.

Click on one of the letters below, click on the horse's picture, and choose "quantity" 1 for a $5.00 donation, 2 for $10.00, 3 for $15.00 and so on. Then click "Add to Bag" and either go to checkout or donate further by simply clicking on any of the organizations listed at the top. At checkout, you will be prompted for an email address and billing address, and choice of payment (PayPal account, credit card through PayPal, check or money order).
